Description
This stoneware pitcher was made by taking a slab of clay and imprinting it with the texture seen. The texture was highlighted by wiping a blue glaze over which settles in to the nooks and crannies. A clear glaze is then applied over the texture. The rim was dipped into a turquoise glaze, while the inside has a white semigloss glaze. A coil of clay is wrapped around the handle to give it visual interest. I need to do a better job of describing my pottery. I write like it is a science experiment. Anyway, it holds about 2 cups and is nearly 6 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide with spout, and an extra 2 inches with the handle. It is microwavable, dishwasher safe and oven proof, if protected from thermal shock.
