Patchwork Vase

Description

This vase was made of slabs, but the top was thrown and attached. I made a mold in the studio and wanted to show folks how to use the mold, so I made this vase. The body of the vase is a patchwork of different slabs with different textures, that were torn apart and then put back together again in the mold. If you look at it closely you will see mushroom, leaves and snowflakes – look at it more closely and you will see much more. It is about 8 inche tall and 4 inches wide at its widest point. It is dishwasher safe, microwavable and oven proof. The top is glazed glossy white, while th e bottom is brown with black highlights.
